Favorite Spring Nail Polishes & Mani Tips

I’m just popping in today to share some of my favorite Spring nail polishes with you. We are on day 4 or 5 of non-stop rain, so a bright manicure is first up on my personal to-do list today. However, I never get my nails professionally done, I always do them myself and am sharing some of my tips with you!

Here are my favorite Spring colors. It’s the perfect mix of neutral, bright, and moody, just like the weather can be. It’s hard to totally ditch your darker wardrobe as soon as Spring hits, so this gray color is perfect. I also think it’s super chic.

I cannot live without this Deborah Lippmann gel manicure set. You get a base coat and a top coat, and can use them with any polish brand, but of course, it works best with DL. I’ve had great results with OPI and Essie, though. The best part? It’s easy to apply, doesn’t chip for at least 10 days, and can be removed with regular polish remover and cotton balls, NO SOAKING! This is a game-changer and I highly recommend it.

Here are my two best at-home manicure tips: Put thicker polishes in the fridge for about 15 minutes before applying. I love Essie polishes, but they typically apply really streaky. When I chill them before application, no more streaks. My second tip is to stick your hands in the freezer for a fast dry. If you use DL, you don’t need to do this because the top coat dries within a few minutes, but with any other brand, stick your hands in the ice box to prevent bubbling and smudging.

Tell me your favorite colors for Spring and your best at-home mani tips in the comments! 🙂
