Fall Home Updates

Hey friends! Happy Fall. Is it super warm where you live? We have been having 80 degree temps for a few weeks now and I love it, but do miss the cooler mornings. In any event, the temps didn’t stop me from freshening up our home for fall. I wanted a minimalistic vibe with a neutral theme but I couldn’t resist a few pops of color and some fresh, fall blooms.

I made a super easy light up garland for our mantle, and I’ll share the details later this week but it’s so pretty day or night. Then, I just popped in a few pumpkins but you could add whatever you like to it, maybe some foliage or berries?

Curious about how we added an electric fireplace and mantle to our house? Read about it here!

Our living room is pretty big so our couch is across from our fireplace, but it’s a good distance between the two. I made some fresh pillows for fall/winter that help neutralize the space but also warm it up, too. (Hi, Jack!)

Our kitchen got only a few small updates with some cute hand towels and cinnamon-scented pinecones, but we did spruce up our dining table a little bit.

The runner is from HomeGoods and the plates are no longer available. The candle holders were a gift but here are some similar ones. Our rug is from Rugs USA (and it’s my favorite one in the house!)

    1. Thank you! My husband and I actually bought a vintage mantle and refinished it and the fireplace is electric! I linked to the post about how we did it in today’s post if you’re interested but it makes a huge difference in our house!

  1. Your home is so cozy, I love the fall updates! My house pretty much stays ready for all. All I need to do is change the scented candles. Unfortunately, the Texas weather isn’t ready… it’s still very hot outside. But I’m trying to be patient! 🙂
