Hey friends! I hope you had a good weekend. This was the first weekend in over a month that we actually did something worth talking about. Although my husband worked half-days on both Saturday and Sunday, we decided to put some of our chores and projects on hold for an afternoon out in Roanoke, the star city.
Sweater (old) | Jeans | Purse | Boots | Necklace | Sunglasses
We had to make two returns to stores only out that way (#smalltownproblems) so we added in a few fun stops to make the trip worthwhile. Even though we have a BubbleCake nearby, the one in Towers shopping center is the best! After stopping in there, we headed over to Chocolate Paper, a sweet stationary store. I picked up a few cards and we browsed the other little shops.
Then, we headed to Beamer’s 25 for an early dinner. It was so good! I was reunited with truffle fries (Frank’s fries) and we had great service sitting at the bar. My buffalo chicken salad was delicious as was my husband’s pepperoni pizza. We will be back!
On Sunday we worked on a few projects around the house. We are almost done with our kitchen backsplash so stay tuned for a future post. After the halftime show, I hung some art in our bedroom to help bring in some personality. Even though we have a new construction house, we are still working hard to make it “ours” and have lots of projects planned and in-progress. I hung these two framed prints above our dresser (which still needs to be styled) and then hung a picture ledge and two other pieces around our TV (hey, Matt 😉 ) to visually offset it a bit. We have a loveseat at the foot of our bed, so it’s a great little lounge now.
Hope you had a great weekend! Check out Facebook to see what else I’m talking about this week.
Love your outfit! Is that a snickers cupcake? Oh my god, I would die. Looks delicious.
