Last Week’s Looks: Rhode Island Edition

Hi Friends! If you’ve been following along with me on social media, then you know I’ve been in Rhode Island for the last couple of weeks. I rented a house from a family I’ve been following on Instagram for years and took off to a state I had never visited, alone, for two weeks of uninterrupted work and relaxation. If you’re curious about the house, you can check it out here and I cannot recommend it enough! It was perfectly appointed, charming, and right on the water. I didn’t even get dressed for half the of the days I was there, but nonetheless, here’s a recap of my Rhode Island looks.

You can shop these looks by clicking the photo directly, or the individual links below.

The house had an incredible deck, which you can see below, and it was the perfect place to work on my tan each afternoon.

My parents came to visit and we made the short drive to Newport, RI where we explored the wharfs and had dinner at Fluke Wine Bar, yum!

It was really humid and hot the first few days I was there, but then it cooled off which was wonderful. I loved having to wear a layer at night and in the morning and you can never go wrong with denim and stripes.

Did you know that Newport, RI has historical mansions, like The Breakers (below), where the Vanderbilt’s used to live and party? It was so fun touring this piece of history and hearing some stories.

I’m obsessed with these slides I snagged at Target. They are neutral with just a pop of color so they literally can go with any outfit. I paired them here with a navy dress for lunch on the water.

The rest of my time in Rhode Island was spent in a rotation of sweats and t-shirts as I went in and out of the deck, so I’ll spare you those pics 😉
