Hi friends and Happy Friday! I hope you’re enjoying a nice holiday break. Last week I returned from nearly two weeks in Canada for both work and play. If you follow me on Instagram then you saw some of the sights already, and it was gorgeous! I’m planning to do a full recap post for you in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned. In the meantime, here’s a recap of what I wore throughout Edmonton and the (cooler) Canadian Rockies.

I went to Edmonton first to attend a work conference so I had to pack a few professional outfits. I picked up both of these dresses from H&M before I left, but sadly can’t find the black and white one online 😦 Maybe you’ll have luck if you visit a store?

It’s a great midi-length and is a wrap dress style, but not actually a wrap dress which is really good in case you want to wear this on a windy day. Plus, it doesn’t wrinkle so it’s perfect for traveling.

I wore this off-white dress the day I presented because I tend to sweat when I’m nervous (#realtalk) and because it’s perfect for summer with the gold details. I also LOVE this Henri Bendel bag when I travel because it fits my iPad, but still looks like a purse, rather than a work tote, and it can be carried like a handbag, or worn as a crossbody.
After Edmonton, I headed to Banff for a few nights. It was much cooler in Banff, so light layers were a must. For our first night, this sweater from LOFT was just right, especially since the sun didn’t set until after 10 pm!

The next day we shopped around downtown and then headed up to Sulfur Mountain where we thought we were having dinner (hence my outfit) but it turns out there was an issue with our reservation, so we took the gondola back down. It gave new meaning to all dressed up and nowhere to go, haha.

Banff has a gorgeous downtown area which also has Starbucks, so it was easy for me to get out of bed and walk down there, despite the crisp morning air. Thankfully, I picked up this Patagonia jacket (that I’m totally obsessed with) and could throw it on over some athleisure to grab coffee.

For our last night in Banff, we headed downtown for dinner. It’s such a bustling area full of great restaurants and shops with a casual vibe.

After our time in Banff, we went a few hours away to Lake Louise!! I’ll let the pictures do the talking, but I LOVED it and wish I had stayed there longer.

Although this is clearly a posed photo, it’s NOT edited at all – Lake Louise really is that color and that beautiful!
My gold dress is a few years old and was picked up for $10 from an H&M sales rack, so something similar is tagged for you. BUT, I do have a deal on these sunglasses for you! Use code NEWSHADES4YOU and the pair I’m wearing also come in other colors.

Then, on my last full day at Lake Louise we went out to explore a glacier which was pretty cool! (< see what I did there?)
