Path to PhDiva

Hey friends! Sorry it’s been a little while, but today I’m back and sharing a post several of you have asked for – how I got to be a PhDiva. I want to start by saying this post is honestly hard for me to write because to me, having a Ph.D. is simply a job credential. It does not define me, my relationships, or my way of life. So, do not mistake this post as some high on the hill story of how I overcame a bunch of adversity to become a college professor and PhDiva. 😉

Fall Home Updates

Hey friends! Happy Fall. Is it super warm where you live? We have been having 80 degree temps for a few weeks now and I love it, but do miss the cooler mornings. In any event, the temps didn’t stop me from freshening up our home for fall. I wanted a minimalistic vibe with a neutral theme but I couldn’t resist a few pops of color and some fresh, fall blooms.

Conference Clothes

Happy Thursday, friends! I’m preparing to head to Chicago for a conference next week, so my brain is currently consumed with packing and preparing for my presentations. I thought it might be fun to see what I’m bringing and get some inspiration for inexpensive work clothes. Since I don’t report to an office every day, I am not a fan of spending a lot of money on my work wardrobe. Here’s what’s going in my bag and my tips for easier packing!
