Happy March! Over the weekend my husband and I drove down to Charleston, SC for a long weekend getaway. Two of our friends from Chicago met us there and we had a blast. We even brought our dog, so I have lots to share with you. Let me just start by saying, Charleston is everything good everyone says it is. We were not disappointed! It’s the perfect mix of southern hospitality and a busy city, something that two Chicago transplants love. Not to mention all the incredible food, sights, and shops. Here’s how we spent our weekend eating, sleeping, and playing.
Hello, my friends. I hope you’re still enjoying a nice holiday break. We are in the middle of packing up our apartment, preparing to move for NYE! So, I think it goes without saying, I’m happy to relive our beautiful weekend in Kohler, Wisconsin.
Like I’ve said before, I am not a chef. I do not enjoy cooking. Meals are a means to an end for me. The same can be said for my husband. We can cook, and when we do, we try to make healthy, easy, quick meals. So, when one of my friends sent me a free trial of Hello Fresh, we figured we had nothing to lose. The free trial sent us three meals and waived the cost of $70.
I had a few assumptions about Hello Fresh. First, that the meals were relatively easy to make. Second, that it’s healthy. I was half-wrong.

Last weekend my husband and I had the pleasure of spending two nights in the Smoky Mountains, thanks to a Groupon I found in August. This was the perfect weekend getaway and had a great mix of different things to do as a couple, despite the area being very family-friendly.
